EES Video Conferencing Center

This room comfortably seats 14 people around a long table and can accommodate 20-30 additional people in chairs around the room. (Arrange for additional chairs ahead of time!)

The room has a regular white board at one end, a digital SmartBoard at the other, a dedicated computer, and a digital projector suspended from the ceiling. The digital projection system was donated by the SAHRA project. The room also has a coffee maker and a sink.

Please see the office staff in MSEC 208 to reserve this room.

SmartBoard

This amazing and fun gadget allows a presenter to draw on the board and to control the computer using the board as a giant touch screen. The SmartBoard software is already running when the computer is turned on, so all you have to do is start drawing with one of the pens or touch the board. There are four “ink” colors: brown, red, blue, and green. Pick up only one pen or the eraser at a time as the board can only recognize one item at a time. When using web-conferencing software, what you draw on the SmartBoard will be seen on all the other computers in the meeting! Smart Technologies website.
